Love: The 9 + 2

I just learned this at a retreat.  There are 9 One Another quotes in the Bible, if I live them, that’s Love…  Very hard stuff!

Love one another: “New command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

Accept one another: “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” Romans 15:7

Bearing with one another: “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3

Pray for each other: “…pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

Serve one another: “…serve one another in love.” Galatians 5:13

Devote to one another: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10

Live in harmony with one another: “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.  Do not be conceited.” Romans 12:16

Encourage one another: “Therefore encourage each other” 1 Thessalonians 4:18

Be kind to one another: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Do not lie to each other: “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices.” Colossians 3:9

Do not slander one another: “Do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.” James 5:12
